Toronto-based Raíces de Chile represents the new generation Grupo Chile, an established dance troupe that has been around the Toronto scene for nearly two decades. “Raices” was formed by Monica Salvo, a long-time Chilean folklore teacher and Grupo Chile founder, who identified a need to revive the Chilean folk dancing scene upon her return to Canada from Chile. “Raices’ ‘ showcases Chilean dances of two main regions of Chile: Central Region and Easter Island, an island and special territory of Chile in the southeastern Pacific Ocean.

Ecuadorian dance group assembled in 1997. Their main objective is to create a new vision of dance featuring Ecuadorian culture, which covers the people from the tropics (monotube), exploring the African roots of our black people, and keeping the ancestral Andean culture. They have performed in major festivals and cultural events in Ontario.

The Imbayakunas music group won three Aboriginal People’s Choice Music Awards in Canada for being the BEST INTERNATIONAL INDIGENOUS ARTIST in 2014, 2017, and 2018. Their music allows the listener to escape on an exotic voyage to a traditional South American Native community.
“We are celebrating our 25 years anniversary in 2024. Our musical expression creates an environment that unites us all. The songs are interpretations of our past and the evolution of our culture into the future. Our intention is to share the rich sounds of the Andean regions. In Ecuador, Peru, and Bolivia, traditional music is the privileged expression of 20 million Quechua and 4 million Aymaras”.

Ballet Folklorico Puro México has been active in Canada for over 15 years under the Direction of Jezreel Vazquez. It has a solid repertoire of colourful traditional Mexican dances and is dedicated to promoting and teaching Mexican traditional dances in Ontario. We work with professionals and highly recognized instructors who come from different regions of Mexico to instruct us on techniques and dance styles.

Colombian artist who began his musical career at the age of 11, participating as a trumpeter and singer in different groups, accompanying great performers of popular, ranchera, and tropical music, doing national tours in Colombia, and participating in international mariachi festivals. He completed his professional studies in arts at the University of Tolima in Colombia.
Currently, he is integrating into the Latin community in Canada, bringing his voice to the forefront as a soloist.

Natalie Rivera is an International DJ from Medellin, Colombia, based in Toronto/ Canada. Her background in music has developed by playing at internationally recognized fashion shows, music festivals, and nightclubs. Her musical career began in 2007 when she became one of the best local DJs in Colombia, being the youngest DJ in the country and establishing herself as one of the most experienced female DJs in Colombia.

EDGAR JOEL
International Artist
Edgar Joel is an American salsa musician, trombonist, and bandleader. He was born in Philadelphia to a Puerto Rican family originating from Barranquitas, Puerto Rico.[2] As the bandleader of his self-titled band, he recruited Anthony Colón as the lead vocalist of the group. His first hit was a cover of Tito Livio’s “Hasta El Sol De Hoy,” which reached number 11 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs which earned the band two Lo Nuestro nominations for Tropical New Artist of the Year and Tropical Song of the Year in 1994. Later, in 1995, “En las Nubes” (also originally recorded by Livio) became their first number-one hit on the Billboard Tropical Airplay chart.
