DJ ALBERT

In 2008, DJ Alberth Moreno moved to the beautiful city of Toronto, Canada, where he is still the most sought-after DJ in the industry. His devoted professionalism has granted him exclusive presentations with mega Latin stars such as Romeo Santos, Marc Anthony, Gente de Zona, and many more.

MISSISSAUGA LATIN FESTIVAL
PARADE

Its parade is one of the most important attractions at the Mississauga Latin Festival. Every year, the parade is headed by the Mississauga Mayor, Councillors from the area, and Provincial and Federal representatives. Delegations from Latin American countries put together a beautiful display of traditional costumes each year. Musical groups with percussion and wind instruments, such as “Papayeras” and “Chirimias,” engage the audience and the dancers along the parade’s route.

Throughout the years, the Mississauga Latin Festival’s parade has welcomed participants from other continents who want to have their country represented in it. The parade has grown to be a Latin American parade and a parade of cultures.

TONATIUH
Folklore Exhibition – MEXICO

Tonatiuh Dance Group is under the direction of Luz Adriana Castillo. She graduated from the National School of Mexican Folk Dance of Mexico City. It has been dedicated to promoting and diffusion of Mexican folklore for more than 20 years. The Group members are dancers of all ages from 4 to 50+, all levels in dance beginners, intermedium, and advanced, to spread the Mexican Culture and traditions through dance, significantly influencing the kids born in Canada.

FREESTYLE DANCE
Dance Group – COLOMBIA

Free Style Dance is a Latin urban dance project for girls aged five and up. It is directed by Helen Rojas, a Colombian master of urban dance and folkloric music with more than 16 years of experience.

3:00 PM —

MELODIA AND LLASAS BOLIVIA
Folklore Exhibition – BOLIVIA

The Dance Group LLASAS was founded in December 2007 in Oruro – Bolivia. The group’s objective is to promote the beautiful Bolivian folklore. They have dances from different regions and are proud to represent Bolivia in different multicultural events in Canada.

STUDIO K CHOREOGRAPHY
Dance Group

Studio K dancers – have been around for over ten years, performing at many events all over Toronto. These young dancers train in salsa, bachata, hip hop, and Reggaeton & love learning the latest TikTok trends. Katty Valdivia is the choreographer & artistic director of the group. With over 17+ years in the dance industry, providing choreography for many events, including backup dancing for artists, quinceañeras, weddings and music videos. SUGAR HEAT BAND
Music Band

Founded and fronted by the Mexican-born Javier Vazquez on vocals and guitar (named the “Canadian Carlos Santana” by the Toronto Sun), Sugar Heat has become the most acclaimed Latin Top 40 Band in Ontario.
Formed in 2006 and formerly known as Los Homeless, Sugar Heat combines a unique and appealing act: a mix of Canadian and Latino musicians that bring the best of both worlds to an exciting musical fusion.
The result is an explosive superband that recreates the best moments in Latin music of all time, from Celia Cruz to Shakira. Get ready for Salsa, Merengue, Cumbia, Bachata, Reggaeton, Gypsy, and crossover Latino-pop with a complete percussion section, horn section, and male and female singers.

SENTIR VENEZUELA
Folklore Exhibition – VENEZUELA

Sentir Venezuela Cultural Group is a non-profit organization that wants to express, promote, and encourage interest in Venezuelan culture through its traditional music and dance. Their performances are joyful, energetic, colourful, and vibrant. They are always smiling and bringing Venezuela into their hearts.

CAFE AND CACAO DANCE
Folklore Exhibition – COLOMBIA

Colombian Dance group under the Direction of Angie Parada. The group was founded in 2024 and is looking to promote the beautiful Colombian folklore showcasing dances from different regions of Colombia.

 

5:15 PM —

YERKO CALDERON
Singer – CHILE

Singer of ranchera music, boleros, and ballads. His artistic career began in his native Chile, where he participated in nationwide festivals.

5:30 PM —

CARLA CASANOVA
Singer

Carla is a talented musician who loves to promote her South American roots through music. In her performances, you will enjoy a perfect mix of songs that take the listener on a journey to our colourful lands. A vibrant melting pot of Latin rhythms such as Bolero, Cha-Cha, Son, Salsa, Cumbia, and more with a pinch of jazz, with lyrics both in Spanish and English.

Musical Organization EL PARRANDON is a group formed by Colombian and Mexican musicians. Musical Directors Mariano Rodriguez and Oscar Romay, under the General Direction of William Arévalo and with the assistance of Fredy Velez, El Parrandon is always ready to make everyone dance!
